Tajine Kefta and peas
Do you know the recipe for Tajine Kefta and peas? Composed of meatballs, a bouquet of oriental spices, a tomato sauce and peas, this dish is complete, delicious and comforting.
Ingredients :
- 500g minced meat
- 300g frozen peas
- 1 onion
- 2 tomatoes
- 300 g of tomato coulis
- 2 tbsp. paprika
- 2 tbsp. coffee cumin
- 1 C. turmeric
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 C. olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper

Chop the onion and sauté it in the pan with 1 tbsp. tablespoon of olive oil then put it in a bowl. Chop the parsley and add half to the bowl. Season with a c. coffee cumin and paprika. Add salt and pepper. Add the minced meat and mix everything well with your hands. Form balls and set aside.

Cut the tomatoes into chunks and put them in a pot. Let cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomato coulis and the rest of the parsley. Season with 1 tbsp. coffee cumin, paprika and turmeric. Add salt and pepper.

Place the meatballs in the sauce and cook them for ten minutes, stirring regularly. Finally, add the previously cooked peas and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve.
Tips
If you are using fresh peas, you can add them directly to the sauce without pre-cooking them. However, if they are frozen peas, they will need to be pre-cooked to prevent them from releasing water. You can serve this dish with a portion of bulgur or semolina.
