Swiss chard cake
Chards are vegetables bursting with benefits for our body and which it would be a shame to deprive yourself of. To sublimate them and make them appreciated by the whole family, we offer you an easy and quick to prepare Swiss chard cake. For an aperitif, as a starter or for a light dinner, it will always be welcome on your plates.
Ingredients :
- 1 bunch of chard
- 3 onions
- 4 eggs
- 250g of flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 100g butter
- 150 g grated Emmental cheese
- 10 cl of water
- 1 C. olive oil
- salt pepper

Cut the chard so that only the leaves are left. Wash them carefully. Cut them finely. ?Peel the onion and slice it. Pour the olive oil into a pan and add the chopped onion. Sauté for 5 mins. Add the chard leaves and cook for 20 minutes covered. stir regularly.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the eggs with the flour. Add water, melted butter and grated cheese. Salt and pepper to taste and mix well.

When the chard is cooked, remove the pan from the heat and let cool. Add the chard leaves to the preparation and mix well. ?Pour the batter into a lightly oiled cake tin. Bake for 50 minutes (oven preheated to 180°C). When cooked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan. Turn out onto a wire rack and let cool.
Tips
To add some flavor to this delicious cake, you can also add 1 tbsp. of mustard to the preparation. And for an even more gourmet recipe, add diced ham to the dough. A true delight !
