Strawberry ice cream without an ice cream maker
In the middle of a heat wave, there’s nothing like enjoying an ice cream to cool off. But beware, not the very rich ice creams from the supermarket where you can find lots of colorings and preservatives. No, we’re talking about good homemade ice cream, the one with real fruit, real ingredients and above all made with love. In terms of preparation, this recipe can be made without an ice cream maker so there is no stress. For a snack or a summer dessert, this strawberry ice cream will make you melt with pleasure! Ingredients :
- 500g strawberries (or berries)
- 250g caster sugar
- 250 ml heavy cream
- 1 lemon

Wash and hull the strawberries then cut them in half. Squeeze the juice from the lemons.

In the bowl of a blender, put the strawberries, powdered sugar, fresh cream and lemon juice.

Mix for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is smooth.

Pour the preparation into your flexible moulds. Place in the freezer for 8 hours to chill. After 1 hour in the freezer, stir your ice cream with a fork to prevent crystals from forming. Repeat this several times (about 6 times).

Serve the ice cream decorated with strawberries and a few mint leaves.
Tips
If you don’t have flexible molds, you can make this ice cream in an ice cream tub that has been run under water beforehand. To defrost it, dip it in cold water for a few seconds. You can make this recipe by adapting the fruits according to the seasons (apples, pears, mangoes, raspberries, oranges, etc.).
