Spiced Sweet Potato Mash
A basic recipe indeed, but which will surprise you and all your table with its originality and flavor. For a simple and unpretentious meal, or to accompany a slightly more elaborate dinner, this mashed sweet potato with spices will change from the ordinary in any case and will know how to be chic for the big evenings.
Ingredients :
- 4 large sweet potatoes
- 20 cl of full liquid cream
- 20 g unsalted butter
- 1 C. cumin powder
- 1 C. teaspoon powdered ginger
- 1 C. ground coriander
- Salt
- Pepper

Peel the sweet potatoes and remove any rough edges in the flesh. Then cut them coarsely into pieces, and put them to cook in the pressure cooker for 15 min.

Collect the cooked potatoes and mix them finely with the cream until you obtain a homogeneous consistency. Depending on the consistency you want, you can also add a little cooking water.

Put your mash in a saucepan to keep it whoursover low heat.

Add the butter, salt and pepper to your liking, and all the spices. Mix well. You can also add fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley.

Enjoy hot as an accompaniment to meat or fish. This is delicious !
Tips
To make this recipe a real Indian recipe, replace the unsalted butter with ghee, the clarified butter traditionally used in India. Very digestible, it will bring an even more exotic note to your succulent mashed sweet potatoes.
