Onion rings
This recipe for fried onions (or onion rings) comes straight from North America. These small onion fritters are a real delight for an original dinner aperitif or for a tasty starter, accompanied by a few raw vegetables. A few ingredients, a few minutes of preparation and quick cooking, these savory donuts have it all. Young and old gourmets will savor them with pleasure!

- 2 onions
- 200g flour
- 20 cl of milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- salt pepper
- oil for frying

Separate the whites from the yolks of your eggs. Reserve them in two individual bowls.

Sift the flour, a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper into a large bowl. Dig a well and pour the vegetable oil in the center and then the egg yolks. Start mixing with a whisk. Gradually add the milk while stirring to avoid lumps.

Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks using an electric mixer. With a spatula, incorporate them very delicately into the previous preparation. You should obtain a smooth and homogeneous donut batter. Book.

Pour the oil into your fryer or wok. Whoursit up. Take an onion ring and dip it into the donut batter to coat it. Then dip the onion in the hot oil. Tips
Make a quick tartar sauce to accompany these delicious onion fritters. For this, in a bowl, mix 5 tbsp. mayonnaise, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tbsp. old-fashioned mustard, 1 tbsp. relish and 1 tbsp. finely chopped pickles. Serve this sauce chilled with hot donuts.
