myrtle liqueur
Ingredients :
- For 1 liter:
- 75 cl of white brandy
- 40 g of myrtle berries
- 100 g of sugar
- 15 cl of water
Preparation :

After having washed and dried the myrtles, immerse them in a jar or a glass bottle (1 liter minimum). Cover the fruits with brandy and close hermetically either with a gasket in the case of a jar or with a cork stopper for the glass bottle.

Leave to macerate for 2 to 3 months in the jar, which you will keep in your cellar or at the back of a cupboard.

After maceration for 2 to 3 months, prepare a syrup using the sugar and water in a saucepan. Boil the sugar for a few minutes then leave to cool. Then pour the syrup into the jar of liqueur and mix well.

Filter everything then put the liquid back only in a glass bottle to make it easier to pour!

Your myrtle liqueur is ready to enjoy a small ice cube and Salute!

Use and tasting of myrtle liqueur: myrtle liqueur can be tasted as a digestive after a good meal to make digestion easier. Of course it should not be abused the myrtle liqueur is strong.
