Minced meat buns
Ingredients :
- For the bread dough:
- 500g flour
- 80g soft butter
- 25 cl lukewhoursmilk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. baker’s yeast
- 1 C. teaspoon salt
- For the stuffing:
- 400g minced beef
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1/2 red pepper
- 2 tomatoes
- 100 g of grated cheese
- 30 cl of tomato coulis
- 1 onion
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. sweet pepper
- salt pepper

Prepare the dough:

In a large bowl, mix flour, egg, salt, baking powder and soft butter. Gradually add the lukewhoursmilk and knead by hand. Leave to rest for 10 minutes then work the dough again. Then let it rest under a damp cloth while you prepare the stuffing.

Slice the onion, and cut the peppers and tomatoes, previously cleaned with water, into cubes. In a frying pan, brown the onion in the olive oil then add the vegetables. Once the vegetables soften, add the ground meat. When it begins to brown, add the tomato coulis, chilli, salt and pepper, and simmer for 20 minutes. Once off the heat, add the Gruyère, mix and set aside.

Return to the bread dough. Knead it for a few minutes again, then divide it into 8. On a floured work surface, roll each piece into a small ball. Flatten each of them with the phoursof your hand and place a little stuffing in the middle. Close gently, sealing well and taking care not to flatten the balls. They should stay round.

Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rest for about 30 minutes under a cloth. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to th.6 (180°C).

Using a brush, brush the buns with egg yolk and bake for 20-25 min. Remove from the oven when they are golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
