Hot goat cheese with honey
- 4 fresh Rocamadour® type goat cheese
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 tbsp. liquid honey
- 4 crushed walnut kernels
- 1 C. tablespoon herbs of Provence
- 1 C. tablespoons dried thyme
- salt, pepper to taste
Preparation 10 minutes
Cooking 10 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a baking sheet.
Place the slices of bread on the baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Place a fresh goat cheese on each slice of bread.
Pour the honey on top of each fresh goat cheese then sprinkle them with crushed walnut kernels, Provence herbs and dried thyme. Finally, salt and pepper to taste.
Put the oven tray in the oven and cook the fresh goat cheese toasts for 10 minutes, until the cheeses are nicely browned.
Serve the fresh goat cheese toasts immediately on the plates to accompany a seasoned green salad as a starter. You can also serve them as is as an aperitif.
