Grandma’s soft cake
It may not have been your grandmother’s cake, but this moist grandma’s cake promises you delicious slices of happiness and comfort, to share with family, colleagues or friends. To prepare it, no need to beat egg whites or melt butter: barely 5 minutes of preparation and then we enjoy!
Ingredients :
- 15 cl of fruit juice (orange, multifruit, pineapple)
- 3 eggs
- 150g caster sugar
- 180g flour
- 15 cl vegetable oil
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 C. icing sugar
- 1 pinch of salt

While your oven is preheating to 150°C (th.5), prepare the dough for your soft cake in a bowl: first whisk the eggs, salt and sugar vigorously to make them foam, then add the flour, yeast, oil and fruit juice and mix until smooth.

Pour this batter into a rectangular cake mold (buttered and floured if it is not silicone), then bake for more or less 40 min, until the tip of a knife comes out hoursst completely dry , just barely moist, then let it cool on a wire rack before unmolding it, and enjoy it whoursor cold, sprinkled with icing sugar.
Tips
If you want to flavor your soft pastry more, add orange or lemon zest, or replace half the powdered sugar with brown sugar or brown sugar. If you want to make individual cakes, bake them for about 20-25 minutes in muffin tins. If you make this cake with lemon juice, add 30 g of sugar.
