Fresh cherry cake
Here is a recipe for fresh cherry cake to enjoy during cherry season (May to July). Moist as desired, it can be enjoyed as a dessert or at tea time accompanied by a large glass of milk for the children and a black tea for the adults. You can make this recipe for an entire cake or in multiple pans.

Preparation :

Wash the cherries in clear water. Cut and pit them. Book. Preheat your oven to th.6 (180°C).

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, milk, eggs, melted butter and yeast until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth dough.

Add the cherries to the batter and mix well.

Butter a cake pan and pour the mixture into it. Bake for 1 hour, then lower the temperature to th.5 (150°C) to continue cooking for another 30 minutes.

Let the cherry cake cool before unmolding and enjoy!
Tips
To check the baking of your cake, you can plant the tip of a knife in the cake. If it comes out clean, your cake is done. You can add 2 tsp. tablespoons of kirsh in the dough to enhance the taste of the cherry.
