Creole-style carrot fritters
If you appreciate exotic and original recipes, here are savory donuts that should make your mouth water. These tasty carrot fritters are a Creole speciality, extremely easy and quick to make. They will be welcome as an appetizer during an aperitif dinner or, why not, as a starter with some raw vegetables. Young and old will be seduced by the crispy texture of these bites. Ingredients :
- 500g flour
- 2 carrots
- 1 egg
- 1 glass of water
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- oil for frying

Wash and peel the carrots. Grate them and reserve.

Sift the flour, salt and pepper into a large bowl. Mix. Add the egg and a glass of hot water. Mix with a spoon then add the grated carrots. Mix until a homogeneous paste is obtained.

Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a large skillet. Using a tablespoon, scoop out some donut batter. Place it in the hot skillet. Repeat the operation.

Fry the donuts for a few minutes until they are golden brown. Drain the donuts and place them on absorbent paper. Enjoy whours

To make these donuts even more delicious, you can add various spices and herbs to the preparation. Opt, for example, for thyme, rosemary or coriander. In terms of spices, everything is allowed: curry, paprika, turmeric, ginger… Here’s something to make your guests’ taste buds travel!
