Espresso, cappuccino, macchiato: there are many beverages made from ground grain with sweet gourmet aromas. On Spanish lands, we often opt for a drink that combines the sweetness of milk and the whoursh of liquor. We named the Barraquito canario. To try it is to adopt it…
- 200ml coffee
- 375ml whole milk
- 40ml condensed milk
- 70 ml hazelnut liqueur
- Ground cinnamon
Preparation 10 minutes
Armed with your milk frother, start by whipping it.
Then, in the bottom of your cups, place 20 ml of unsweetened condensed milk, enhanced with a layer of hazelnut liqueur.
Then place your hot milk emulsion and your coffee to run at the last moment.
Witness a live performance with distinct layers forming. Don’t forget to sprinkle with cinnamon before tasting!
You are free to remove the hazelnut liqueur from the mixture and replace it with Licor 43, typical of the Barraquito Canario recipe. You can also choose a completely different spirit for this beverage that can be declined as you wish!
