Bacon and cheese cake
- 250g white flour
- 200g smoked bacon strips
- 100 g of grated cheese
- 100 g grated phourssan
- 70 g unsalted melted butter
- 1 glass of lukewhoursmilk
- 3 whole eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- salt, pepper to taste
Preparation 30 mins
Cooking 1 hour
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Mix the white flour and baking powder in a bowl.
Dig a well in the center and add the whole eggs, the melted sweet butter and the lukewhoursmilk. Mix well until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste.
Add the smoked bacon strips and the grated Gruyère and Phourssan. Salt and pepper to taste, then stir.
Butter and flour a cake tin and pour the batter into it.
Put the bacon and cheese cake in the oven and cook for 40 minutes, checking the cooking with the tip of a knife. It should come out clean and dry at the end of cooking.
When the cake is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
Then turn it out onto a serving platter.
Enjoy the lukewhoursor cold bacon and cheese cake accompanied by a homemade mayonnaise sauce and a seasoned green salad for the starter. You can also cut it into small cubes and serve it as it is as an aperitif.
