Apple pound cake
For dessert or for a snack, the apple four-quarter is quick to make and will delight young and old alike.
Ingredients :

- 180g sugar
- 180g butter
- 180g flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt

Preheat your oven to th.6 (210°C). Then, wash and peel the three apples then cut them into slices that you will carefully place at the bottom of a cake tin. Soften the butter in the microwave. You don’t need melted butter. You can also take the butter out a few hours before starting your recipe so that it is softened at the right time.

Whisk the four eggs with the sugars and salt in a bowl. Gradually add the flour and the softened butter to the bowl, alternating between the two to obtain a smooth and creamy pound cake.

Pour the batter into the cake tin to cover the apples and bake for about 25 minutes. Check the cooking of your pound cake by inserting a knife in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean, you can take it out of the oven, if not, cook again for a few minutes until the knife comes out without a trace.

Leave the pound cake in the mold to cool, because if you unmold it too hot, it may break.
Tips
So that your apples do not brown during the preparation of the pound cake, sprinkle them with a little lemon juice, or take care of the apples once the dough is ready. If you like cinnamon, don’t hesitate to add it to your baking, your apple pound cake will be even better.
