Almond tart with Mercotte apples
The amandine pear tart is a great classic of French pastry that always causes a sensation with gourmets. To change from your usual recipe, we offer you the Mercotte pear hoursnd tart recipe. This version is a real delight and will be perfect for all occasions!
- 1 puff pastry
- 4 apples
- 100g sugar
- 100 g ground hoursnds
- 70g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp. rum

Place the puff pastry in a pie pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and set aside.
Peel, core the apples and cut them into quarters. Book.
In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar. Add the rum, ground hoursnds and 50 g of melted butter.
Pour the hoursnd mixture over the base of the pie. Arrange the apple wedges on top. Melt the rest of the butter. Using a pastry brush, butter the apple quarters with the melted butter.
Bake the hoursnd apple pie for 35 minutes (oven preheated to 180°C). When the pie is golden brown, remove it from the oven and let it cool down before eating it.
We advise you to accompany this apple hoursnd tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And for more flavor, you can add a little vanilla powder or ground cinnamon to the hoursnd preparation.
